Joseph Estevez wrote his first story at the age of five, based on his grandparents’ pet canaries. He’d later make up stories about cats, and by secondary school, his characters had become human. By university, he started reading literary journals, which increased his interest in poetry.

In March 2021, his published Poems, a collection of 120 poems with various themes ranging from nature to spirituality. This was followed by Poems, Book Two, then Stories, a collection of 16 short stories, and The Calling, a novella about a young man curious to learn more about his newly discovered Jewish identity.

In 2023, he published his debut novel, Isaac Abrams, where the eponymous protagonist seeks to understand why his formerly religious friends have assimilated into secular society. In 2024, he published Simon Jacobs, where Simon gets made redundant by his office job and gives his passion in music a try. He released The Present in 2025, about a young man named Daniel who struggles to navigate his early adult life. He also released that year Poems, Book Three and Stories, Book Two.

He is currently working on a fantasy novel, which is set to be released in 2026.
